The HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and the School of Public Health of the University of Hong Kong invite applications for appointment as Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in the School of Public Health, from as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. The appointee will work in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and the Centre of Influenza Research.
HKU-Pasteur Research Pole, a joint laboratory created as a long-term collaborative project between Institut Pasteur and the University of Hong Kong (HKU), and the Centre of Influenza Research have an exceptional record of excellence in virology research.
They are seeking talented, dynamic and highly motivated candidates to establish a new research group that will complement ongoing projects in the areas of influenza infection and vector-borne viruses. The successful candidate should have already a strong track record of publications and achievements in a relevant research area with demonstrated potential for leadership. The primary selection criterion will be scientific excellence and the perceived ability to augment the intellectual creativity, skills, and innovation potential of HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and the Center of Influenza Research, but they are particularly interested in candidates with international experience, applying innovative approaches to understand the cell biology of virus-host interactions and the immune response at the cellular and/or organismal level.
