The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and the Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands are looking for a Regional Officer to support the implementation of the Ramsar Convention in the Oceania region and ensure wise use of all wetlands across the islands.
Based in Apia, Samoa, SPREP is the regional organisation established by the Governments and Administrations of the Pacific charged with protecting and managing the environment and natural resources of the Pacific. Ramsar Contracting Parties in the Oceania region are presently Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea and Samoa.
