The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) has a job vacancy for a Project Manager, Pacific Health Research. The project manager will administer the HRC’s annual investment into Pacific health research, act as secretary for the HRC Pacific Health Research Committee, manage specific Pacific initiatives, and monitor established contracts.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- extensive networks within the Pacific community and the research community
- previous experience in a similar type role with excellent project planning skills
- a relevant tertiary qualification with research experience in a health-related area, and
- be able to interact and develop relationships with end-users of research, researchers, and HRC staff
Ideally, applicants will be superior multi-taskers, flexible, and have sufficient knowledge of health research in New Zealand and/or the Pacific. They should also be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, have well developed interpersonal skills, and competency in Microsoft Office.
