Solomon Islands’ cultural industries have a unique potential due to their diversity, mix of traditional and contemporary influences and the young and creative population. As part of the ‘Enhancing the Cultural Industries: Fiji, Samoa and Solomon Islands’ project, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community is supporting the development of Solomon Islands’ cultural industries by structuring the sector, strengthening the regulatory framework for sector development and fostering sustainable economic opportunities for cultural producers. To assist in the implementation of this project, SPC is hiring a national consultant in Solomon Islands. The consultant should be fluent in both Pijin and English. The project is made possible with the financial support of the European Union (European Development Fund) and the assistance of the ACP Group of States.
