SPREP has calledl for tenders from qualified and experienced protected areas management specialists who can offer their services to provide a key role in the implementing the Protected Areas Assessment Project SPREP is conducting in Papua New Guinea.
The successful applicant will need to undertake a literature review, project reports, field assessments, carry out training for area based staff including relevant CEPA staff and organise and facilitate Project Advisory Group workshops, as well as supervising the Project Coordinator and development of associated work plans.
The timeframe for the project is November 2015 to November 2016. It is not anticipated that the technical functions and outputs of the project will require full time employment. Rather the level of engagement will vary with intensity as the project moves through its phases.
The PAMS will work closely with the SPREP Director of Biodiversity and Ecosystems Management Division or nominee who will maintain management oversight. In-country coordination and support will be provided by an in- country project coordinator.
