The Vanuatu Cultural Centre (or Vanuatu Kaljoral Senta — VKS), under the supervision of the Vanuatu National Cultural Council (VNCC), is responsible for cultural research in Vanuatu.
The Vanuatu Cultural Centre has a network of about 150 Ni-Vanuatu fieldworkers (women and men) representing each cultural and linguistic entity of the archipelago. Since its creation, the fieldworkers collaborate as facilitators with scientists working in the country for their research. Currently, about 50 scientists from various disciplines and universities cooperate with the institution.
