The course aims to
- improve understanding of the challenges related to stakeholder involvement in research and governance processes;
- deliver a generic frame for planning and facilitate sound participatory processes;
- teach innovative participatory methods and tools useful for addressing complex issues in diverse, multi-level stakeholder settings;
- develop reflexive capacities for continuous process improvement.
Participants will:
- obtain theoretical and practical knowledge on participatory processes, methods and tools;
- gain competencies in conducting a participatory process: examining the context, planning and facilitating the process and critically evaluating the outcomes;
- identify the most adequate participatory tools and implement them in their own project.
Application contexts may concern the development and execution of research projects or programs, participatory decision making, policy development and implementation.
