Getting Maximum Value From Horizon 2020 - The Largest Research Funding Program In The World

The European Union has committed close to €80 billion to Horizon 2020, its research and innovation program, between 2014 and 2020. Australian researchers are invited to participate in the various actions available under Horizon 2020. The EU Centre at RMIT University is delighted to announce that Dr Martin Grabert and Dr Rado Faletič will join them to provide an overview of the opportunities available with EU research funding, with particular emphasis on the 2016-2017 Work Programme. There will be an opportunity after the seminar for researchers with current EU connections to meet with Dr Grabert and Dr Faletič.

Dr Martin Grabert is the Chief Executive Officer & Director of Montroix Pty Ltd. Previously Martin was the Director, International and Business Relations at the Group of Eight (Go8) Ltd, a coalition of Australia’s leading research intensive universities. Before coming to Australia in November 2010 Martin was the Director of the COST Office (European Co-operation in Science and Technology) in Brussels. His networking capacities on all levels in academia and politics supported several strategic developments in the EU, for instance the creation of the European Research Council.

Dr Rado Faletič is the Director of Projects & Communications at Montroix Pty Ltd. Rado was previously the Executive Director of the Forum for European-Australian Science and Technology cooperation (FEAST), and has held a number of teaching and IT positions at The Australian National University.
