The PACE-Net Plus project is one of many similar projects around the world.

Through the Seventh Framework Programme and Horizon 2020, the European Commission has established two categories of projects that provide information and support around key bilateral (BILAT) and bi-regional (INCO-NET) relationships with the European Union. A third category of projects, called ERA-NETs, provide a mechanism for groups of national funding bodies to coordinate funded research efforts around focussed topic areas.
